Cycling and Hiking Trails in the Almaguin Highlands

Here is a list of cycling and hiking trails to experience while you are enjoying your cottage vacation in the Almaguin Highands north of Muskoka, Ontario near Algonquin Park.


Old Nipissing Rd: - Hiking and Cycling - 50km between Magnetawan to Commanda

Moose Mountain Trail - Hiking Trail - 2km loop with an intnese climb

Loxton Beaver Trail - Hiking and Cycling - 8.5km loop with moderate with a few challenging climbs.

Tower Trail - Hiking and Cycling - 2km with moderate with a 50% incline to the lookout point.

One-A-Day Trail - Walking Trail - 1km with great views for walking.

Tom Thomson Portage - Walking Trail - 2km of beautiful trails.

While you are vacationing on the beach overlooking the lake in your lakefront cottage why not take some time out and go on a canoe trip. Experience everything the north has to offer while you are vacationing near Algonquin Provincial Park.

River Run Canoe Route - The River Run offers an entry level scenic day paddle. There are some shallow sections where you will have to walk during the summer and autumn.

The Almaguin Highlands is a great place to spend your summer vacation so come north and rent a lakefront cottage and enjoy the outdoors in cottage country.
